This class focuses on water comfort, trust and submersion, body position, recovery positions. Class prepares children for water independence.

Class Content:

• Safe and proper pool etiquette
• Getting comfortable in the water
• Safely entering/exiting pool
• Submersion/bobbing
• Surface water exploration
• Floats (front and back)
• Finning and pulling
• Streamline (front and back)
• Kicking (front and back)
• Water safety skills

Exit Skills:

1. Unassisted exit and entry to the pool
2. Unassisted complete body submersion
3. Assisted streamline on stomach (face in water) for two body lengths
4. Streamline on back for two body lengths
5. Lifejacket float on stomach for five seconds, roll over, and float on back for five seconds.
